One of the most popular members of comics’ Bat-family is officially coming to Gotham Knights.
The CW pilot has cast Anna Lore (All American) as Stephanie Brown a.k.a. Spoiler, daughter of the Cluemaster. Here’s the official description for the TV version of the character:
Sarcasm matched only by her intellect, Stephanie (Lore) was raised on a steady diet of brain teasers and puzzles. She’s honed her skills to become a formidable coder. But her greatest talent may be hiding a less-than-perfect home life.
According to Deadline, another actress was originally cast in this role but was replaced. Anna Lore has a little bit of DC TV experience, playing “Penny Farthing” in Season 1 of Doom Patrol. The character of Stephanie Brown — who also has been Batgirl in the comics — also appeared in Batwoman Season 2, where she was played by Morgan Kohan.
Gotham Knights is shooting soon for a hopeful place on The CW’s 2022-2023 schedule.
