Comic book first appearances are a very big deal in the collecting world, and with today’s announcement that Anna Lore will be playing Stephanie Brown in The CW’s Gotham Knights, there’s something else you might want to consider looking for in the near future, before it’s too late.
Detective Comics #647 marks the first comic book appearance of Stephanie Brown, best known in the comics as “Spoiler” though she’s also been Batgirl and Robin at different times. The daughter of Cluemaster, this character has long been very popular… though with that said, her early appearances can still be obtained very easily. In fact, today even after the announcement, Detective Comics #647 and #648 (where Stephanie first became Spoiler) can still be found very cheaply on eBay. Sure, Stephanie isn’t on the cover… but it’s still great looking, with a nice logo and Batman with comics’ best Robin, Tim Drake. (Dick is the best Nightwing!)
